Your letter of 28 October |
|
Thank you for your reply to my letter. I believe I sent two letters and am not sure which one you are replying to. Since I asked my senator to inquire of the governor as to whether she had seen it I suspect it was the second one. The first one was a copy of a letter I sent to the Attorney General with about ten pages of documentation. The brief form letter I received as a reply suggests that he never saw it - there definitely is a need for a criminal investigation. I haven't tried contacting him again since it seems I can't get past his staff. The other letter was a copy of the letter from the Arkansas State Medical Board dismissing the complaint. Either they didn't bother to read it or didn't believe it in spite of the evidence - hospital records and witness accounts. Since they didn't bother to ask me for proof I must presume they didn't read it carefully and investigate or that they don't care. I don't know who the medical board is accountable to but whatever the reason for their failure to act a dangerous doctor is being allowed to continue to endanger patients wherever he works. I am alive because my family intervened and removed me from the hospital before my condition deteriorated to fatal - I am fairly certain that many other patients were not so fortunate. As the hospital has been closed (strange as such long-term care facilities are more profitable than general hospitals) and evidence will be difficult to obtain if much time passes. If you do not have both of the letters and the information attached please advise me and I can send you another copy. In any case I need to send you some updated information - a more detailed explanation of why the Attorney General should revisit it (if in fact he is already aware of it) and a scientific explanation of what came close to causing my death and very likely did cause others as the same doctor treated all patients. I am seriously ill and do not expect to live much longer as the damage done to me is apparently irreversible and my condition continues to deteriorate. Going to the post office requires assistance and a driver. If there is a need for further communication I can provide you with an email address for the purpose. In any case I should mail the material I have now - should I send it to the same address and to your attention? Thanks for you assistance, |
